THE MORAL LEGITIMACY OF THE PROPOSE SIX SINGLE TERM.

It is quite surprising and unfortunate that out of the many ills bedeviling our nation Nigeria, it is a single term of tenure in office for the Presidency and State Governor which does not add anything to the citizen of the country is what is most worthy of attention by our beloved President of the federal Republic of Nigeria.
Majority of Nigerians were dead set against this bills and the Labour Union and some opposition Party Action Congress of Nigeria Have vowed to influence their members in National Assembly and in the House of Representative to vote against the bill if brought by the president.
I and was of mine was discussing this development sometime ago and he made me see another side to the story which I call the moral legitimacy of the proposed six term.
My friend in his view told me that I should bear the fact that most Nigerians are not interested in putting someone who is morally sound and capable of following rigid rule that is needed for good governance in place all they want is their people or tribe man in position of Power.

Since he told me that I have been thinking about it and to an extent I agree with him reflecting on the reason why most people that I spoke to before the last election told me is their reason for wanting President Jonathan as the President of this country which reasons ranges from the name he bears to the fact that it is the turn of the south south to the fact that  it  legitimate for him to be voted as president because it is the will of God for him to be their referring to his antecedent as deputy governor OF Bayelser State who was promoted to governor before the term of Alamesiyha the former governor before him was ended and then he became deputy President of Federal Republic of Nigeria during the Administration of Late President Umaru Yah Adua and later became acting president while the former president was in his sick bed in Saudi Arabia and after the death of president Yah Adua he became the president.
With such absurd reasons for voting people into power we legitimize indolence greed and mediocrity in this country and we should not expect any better deal from the government in power but despite all this I still say no to the six years single term bill.
At least the four years tow term will give us the opportunity to decide to vote out a political official that is not performing and looting our treasury away out of power, and it does another thing, it gives us the opportunity to reward a political official the opportunity to serve us further and it also put political officials on their toes because the fear of being voted out of office is the beginning of wisdom for our political official lets leave it like that.

THE BOMB BLAST.

Early in the morning today Nigerian woke up to only to hear that there was a bomb blast in Bauchi and that the Muslim Fundamentalist group in the North claim responsibility for same.
A friend of mine even told me that the Boko Haram sect  too are claiming that they too are entitle to the kind of amenesty  that the south-south militants earned for Bombing and kidnapping people.
I believe that this Islamic FUNDAMENTALIST ARE PLAYING OUT A SCRIPT TO SEND A MESSAGE TO THE GOVERNMENT OF THE DAY IN NIGERIA THAT POWER MUST RETURN BACK TO THE NORTH AND I WILL SAY THAT NIGERIA IS IN  A DILEMMA BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT EVERY REGION OF THE NATION THAT WANT TO HAVE A SHORT AT THE PRESIDENCY WILL NOW TAKE UP HARMS IN THE HOPE THAT THE REGION WILL BE GIVEN A SHORT AT TE PRESIDENCY

Nigeria is actually tredding a dangerous part with this issue of zoning popularized by the party in power and only God Knows what may happen in future if Nigeria is not careful because i cannot see any unity coming out of zoning i only see disaster.

PRAY FOR ME.

I read with amusement the headline 'pray for me' in the Punch newspaper of Sunday 29th of May 2011 credited to President Goodluck Jonathan and i marvel because i am already hearing the same rhetorical pray for us of those that are voted into power to lead us

I would have believe that since most Nigerians voted for President Goodluck Jonathan overwelmingly, that will be enough handwriting on the wall to point him to the fact that Nigerians had already done all the prayer they need to make before thay decided to vote for him and that what Nigerians are presently expecting from him is that he should be bold enough to make loudable decission that will translate into moving Nigeria and Nigerias forward in the comity of Nations.

Nigeria is expecting him to promote policy that will positively impact on their life and the best place he should start his service to Nigeria  from is the Power sector by improving the electricity supply to Nigerians and he will see Nigerians Praying for him openly so that he can continue to do much more instead of starting with a request for prayer from Nigeria .

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?

Should we actually believe that our lamentations is ended?
This was the thought that came into my mind when I listen to president Goodluck Jonathan speech after he was  sworn in yesterday 29th of May 2011 as the President of federal Republic of Nigeria.
Well, lets keep this in mind and then check back in six months time but i cannot see anything that can stop the lamentation in the speech of the president.

AT STANDBY.

To forestall any murderous action from the Muslim populated areas of Northern Nigeria after the announcement of the death of Osama Bin Laden, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has put the Nigeria Security forces on Red Alert

GOOD NEWS.

What a good News to hear that the blood thirsty Monster who raised the World Trade Building to the ground in the name of propagating Islam with millions of  innocent  people killed in the process was killed by the USA Force in the early hour of today.

The news reaching us locally through the television News is that he is cooling his heels in the belly of the Sea.
This is wishing the blood thirsty monster an everlasting troubled sleep in the belly of the cold sea.

I admire the intelligence and resolve of the USA government which after ten years has now yielded the desired result.

LAGOSIAN DECIDES..

http://draft.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=1341937719852218276&postID=2398153253524633117
The way  Lagosians cast their vote on 26th April 2011 was a clear indication that Lagosians values those who served them well.
These was also an indication that  the development we had enjoyed in Lagos State for the last 12 years starting from when the AD was in power in Lagos State and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed T inubu was Lagos State Governor which continued until 2007 when Babatunde Raji Fashola took over as Lagos State Governor will  definitely continue.

The After Effect of the Presidential Election.

We are presently hearing of serious violence in Northern Nigeria. Is it possible that most of the people in the North went blindly to the Poll and just started thumb printing in the Peoples Democratic Party  Logo?.
I am asking this question because even i who did not vote for PDP can without apology to anyone say the election was free and fair and was counted right at the polling station in the presence of everyone who waited to watch the counting of the votes therefore i see know reason for this senseless violence.
The only conclusion i can make from the violence that followed the declaration of President Goodluck Jonathan as the winner of Presidential Election that took place on 16th of April 2011 is the other Parties that fielded Notherners as their Candidate did not properly teach their followers how to differentiate their party from the ruling party taking to mind that most of the candidates campaigning in this parties have in one way or the other worked with PDP before or had been in PDP before which can easily confuse their followers especially in the North where most of the people  are illiterates.

The Election.

http://www.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=1341937719852218276&postID=6964813607599854579
I cannot but agree that The Presidential election on 16th of April 2011  was free and fair despite the fact that i did not vote for the ruling Party, but i give it to independent electoral commission that the Presidential election was apparently free and fair the only thing is that i cannot see how i can separate the elected president from the Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria, i cant see how he can be in  PDP and money voted for infrastructure ,money voted for road infracture, money voted for electricity upgrade will be use for  what they were voted for.
Before his four years term got to the 2nd term  in office we will be able to know whether Nigerian made mistake in voting Personality instead of voting for Party.
I keep my fingers cross till then.

The Punch:: The Egyptian Revolt 2011 as a metaphor for the human condition

The Punch:: The Egyptian Revolt 2011 as a metaphor for the human condition

FOR THIS SAKE OF THE FUTURE OF THIS LITTLE BABBY AND HER LIKES

The  Voters register is now on Display and Independent Electoral Commission has informed all the Citizen of Nigeria who have registered to vote in the April 2011 election to go and check their name in the voter's register being display at the place where they registered.
I was informing my uncle about this when he asked me that If he has the chance to contest on the Platform of the People Democratic Party which is the ruling party in Nigeria and where most Nigerian believe that once you contest election on its Platform the person will automatically win. I bluntly told him that I will not campaign for him neither will II vote for him if he contest even the most irrelevant election under PDP.
He was surprised, he said if it happen like that in reality, he will take it as a declaration of enmity against him.
To make my strong feeling against voting a party who had been in Power for good 12years without any Positive Contribution to the country.I pointed to a little baby who is happily enjoying the afternoon cold Barth that her mother is giving her, and I told him that "for the sake of this baby and the likes of her I will rather not vote nor Campaign for anyone who is vying for electoral post under PDP and become that person's enemy instead of voting  a party that is in control of majority of all the States of the Federation and was still unable to make any Positive Impact in the Life of Nigerian Citizen.
Thank  God that he he got my drift and realized that my anger is against the ruling Party in Nigeria and not against him.

While we were still talking, my friend who has earlier told me that he registered outside his registration area came in to visit me. I asked him what he is going to do now that the Voters registration Lists were out, he told me that he will go back to the registration Center where he and his wife registered at Ajao Estate to check the registration list for his and his wife's names.I pointed out to him that he has not told me the solution to the situation that he created for himself as regarding where he will cast his vote on the Election day since there will not be movement on that day, he could not give me an answer instead he asked me what I think should be the solution in this kind of situation, when he asked me this, it suddenly occurred to me that their is  solution. I have to go and see to an activities so we could not continue our discussion I bade my friend goodbye, seeing him off on our way out we promised to continue our discussion some other time

Back To Voters R egistration.

Nigeria will soon be going back to the pole to elect their leaders again. This is presenting Nigerians another opportunity to elect credible leaders.
I am more concerned about the political Platform upon which the aspirants are being presented to Nigerians i.e i am more concern about the party that a candidate is coming out from though the candidates must also be a person of Integrity and honest but if we remember that members of People Democratic Party are in majority in the National Assembly, they also control more than 20 states of the federation for almost 12 years and we still do not have Constant Power Supply, No good sources of drinking water, and our federal roads are in such a terrible State that it is a death trap, then we have to make sure that such a party is not voted back into  power. Such party is the reason why our industrial sector is in comatose, such party is the reason why young Nigerians who have bright ideas that will create jobs but does not have money to buy generator to keep the business going are unable to put their ideas to test thereby denying Nigerians an opportunity to benefiting from such ideas that will impact positively on the country. Such a party encourages grafts and does not ask question when members who are in government through its platform are not adding value to the country they are ruling but are amassing wealth at the expense of the people they are ruling, then such a party should be voted out of power because even if an angel is presented as presidential candidate, governorship candidate and even candidates for National Assembly on the Platform of Such Party, they will not make any positive impact to the life of Nigerians because of the financial burden placed upon them by their Party.

VOTERS REGISTRATION AND DE-ENFRACHISEMENT OF NIGERIAN ELECTORATES

I was with a friend of mine yesterday and we were talking about the just concluded Registration of voters and the following discussion ensued between us:
I :              I thought you said you are traveling to Imo State to go and register.

My friend: I ended up not traveling again, i register at Ajao Estate.

I:               why Ajao estate why not Ikotun where you resides.
My Friend: To register in my area of resident was a tug of war, i and my wife decided to look for other area where we can register when it occurred to us that the registration exercise is coming to an end and we may not be able to register before the initial two weeks elapsed, we did not know that the exercise will be extended for another  one week and did you know that they even extended it for further two days after the one week expired?
I                I hear about it but don't you think that you are effectively disenfranchised bearing in mind that    movement will completely be restricted during the election period until the end of the election.
My Friend: I know but i have to take the chance, Sade you know as well as i know that things are not going right in this country everybody are poor, including those of us that are doing our legitimate work and working hard at it and we have to vote out those non-performing PDP out of Power:.
I: Can you please tell me how your registering in Ajao Estate when your house is in Ikotun make it possible for you to vote out PDP?
My friend : Sade, I understand your drift, but in Nigeria everything have solution and it is the solution that will make it possible for those of us who did not register in our area of residence that we should think about.
I:  You are the one that did not register in your area of residence you are the one to tell me.
My Friend: Sade, I will tell you but right now i have something of importance to attend to, lets live it for now until tomorrow.
It will interest people that many people did not register in their area of residence during the registration of voters exercise, i have thought of a solution to how those who did not register in their area of resident can vote, but I'm keeping it close to my chest until i hear what my friend's solution is.

New year New Begining

Happy New Year to all  the blogs that I'm following and all the blogs that are following me.The just concluded year 2010 was financially stressful for many Nigerians except for our money sharing people that are ruling us.

It was disheartening that the year ended with many people in Jos bombed to death.
Some Religious fundamentalist claimed responsibility for this evil act but i cannot see any act of religiosity in bombing  fellow human being to death, therefore as far as I'm concerned they are murderers and they must be treated as such and i expected that our law enforcement agents should have arrested the group that claim responsibility for that heinous crime they should be in court by now defending their action before the court, after all Okah the leader of mend who claimed responsibility for the Abuja bomb blast was  arrested, THERE SHOULD BE NO DIFFERENT treatment for those criminals who hide behind religion to kill innocent people. I wish all that reads and visits my blog a happy new year and a prosperous 2011..
