Preparing for 2011 election;

The 2011 election is fast approaching and i have to decide which party to cast my vote for.
Foe me i cast my vote for a party not for an individual personality because i believe that a party which make the interest of the masses its priority in matter of making laws and making laws that have positive impact on law abiding citizens is the one that is worthy of committing the affairs of citizens to.
The ruling party in Nigeria is counting on the sentimental way of looking at things in Nigeria to bring themselves back to power. The object of this sentiment this time around is Jonathan. the other day i was telling my friends that i will not vote for the PDP, because their almost or more than 10 years rule have nothing but poverty sticking impact on the citizens that they are ruling while it have a lot of financial impact on the pocket of the executive, and the federal legislators.
Do not tell me that it is not only PDP members that are in the National Assemby, you should remember that PDP members are in majority and we all know that the minority can only have their say the majority will always have their way and the PDP are using the fact that they are in the majority to financially better their individual lots while the citizen of this country does not have electricity, no good roads and other infrastructural amenities that will make it easy for the citizen to do their business in a most profitable manner which in turn will bring economic growth to this nation. Now they are back again canvassing for our vote and their election campaign is wrap around the same promises of providing adequate electricity good roads etc promises that they deliberately refused to fulfill for the last ten years or more that they have been in power.
The new trick is now to claim that they are bringing Jonathan a person from the south/south out as president as if that solve the problem of inadequate power supply and the darkness that the entire nation is thrown into, the loss of manufacturing sector of this nation etc.
Looking at the past performance of PDP since it has been in the helms of affairs in Nigeria after the military relinquished power, i have come to realized that anybody elected into political offices on the platform of the PDP cannot rule well, i believe that the party is floated to encourage corruption and ineptitude and not to perform any civic duty to the people of this great country.
Therefore i believe that Jonathan may be a gentleman and honest but if he is contesting the position of presidency on the platform of PDP i will not cast my vote for him because even if he spend 20years in office as a president PDP will not allow him to perform any duty for the citizens of this nation he will only be allowed to pass law that will only benefit those in corridors of power and their cronies. Electricity will remain in comatose, the roads will continue to deteriorate and our hospitals will remain a death trap.

God's time is the best., Is that true?

I was reading some religious notes that i jotted down in my church sermon's note when I saw a quotation where God told Abraham "...at the time appointed i will return unto thee according to the time of life, and Sarah shall bear a son." This set me thinking, does that mean that God work with man in accordance with 60 seconds make one minute,60mims make 0ne hour, 24hour make one day? Because my understanding of that scripture is that God follows man timing in answering man's requests. Anyone there with a different view, kindly counter my theory.

fiction portraying a vivid reality of life.

Right from the first day a colleague of mine in the office gave me Mario Put's novel "The fool die' to read i fell in love with his books. I find his books more realistic than any true life stories that i have ever read. The one that i am reading presently is Omerta(THE LAW OF SILENCE). Runnig through his novel is loyalty, i also find in theme of his book members of the society balancing the of justice where the law of the society fall short of doing justice.

In the fool dies, we see a set of family who antigonizes the law of the society on mission for revenge, retaliaton causing death of people who are apparently weaked or even muderers whom the law of the land released for want of good evidence or whom the justice system let go because they were able to get good lawyers eventually killed by the sympatiser of the person they killed.
This is a good evidence that a person that kill may also be killed by a human being especially if the killing has nothing to do with accident or self defence.

READY TO START A NEW WEEK.

The previous week had been hectic, thank God for the rest during  the weekend. now i am ready to start work for the new week.

my immediate attention this week is to make sure that i finalize the drafting of the Succession matter that i have been working on so that Tuesday unfailingly i will go and file the matter in Ikeja High Court.I did not continue my writing until now because of constant electricity outage.
a week or two now all we are hearing about is the bribery issue that involved a member of football commission in Nigeria and some foreign journalists, yesterday the paper carry a heading about billions of Naira lost to insurance companies. This is happening when depositors have not recovered form all their money lost  micro finance banks..
A new issue making scandalous round in Nigeria presently is the bill passed by the National assemly allowing all past legislators, their children and their spouses on retirement pention. As if that is not enough scandal in itself, Past Military Head of State are also to enjoy this scandalous largess. The annoying part of it is that our greedy legislators  who are the benefactor of the seat of power that the mases of this country took away from the Military are now by this single legislation trying to undo what the mases of this country did when they took power awy fromthe military in 1999.
This means that the lives of people  who died  agitating for the return of power to the civilian does not matter to our legislators and if they think that their including Past Military head of State will keep military away from planning coup and successfully hijacking power from them they are joking, since it is now even more lucrative to be in power in Nigeria.
Another thing is that the Politicians naow have a better reason to kill and maime themselves and more reason to subvert the will of the Nigerians.
WELCOME TO MORE UNRESOLVED MURDERS AND MORE DARING KIDNAPPINGS.

The dilema of selective justice in Nigeria,

Nigeria is more like a nation whose people believe that whatever they do once they go about praying in churches and in Mosques not to mention those whose priority is to visit occultist all our problems are solved.

What we forget or deliberately forget is that a country where their laws are made in such a way that the rich can steal, engineer Killings and still go away scotfree while those that are less privilege and even those who are innocent are locked up in prison for years without trial is heading towards self Extinction or how do we explain a situation where people that are in position of power whether in government establishment or private organization who embezzle billions of Naira are never prosecuted and where prosecuted are sentenced to a ridiculous prison terms and/or ridiculous plea bargain that leave a major amount stolen to the offender to go and enjoy after the person come out of prison.

This same rogues later comes out for elective posts using the public fund they stole when they were in public offices to buy the vote of the hungry masses. Therefore, a circle of unending poverty continues since those voted into public offices, such as our law makers are not interested in the development of the country. It even serve their wicked purposes to keep the citizen in state of poverty, illiteracy and lack and want so that the citizen will be too involved in how to get their daily bread for them to really take interest on how they are governed thereby allowing the rulers the free way to loot the treasury without any challenge from the citizen.

Let us not deceive ourselves that those that are shouting on our television enlightening us are getting to the majority of Nigeria Citizens because most of the time there is no electricity so all the effort of civil organization to enlighten people about their civic duty and the effect of selling their vote is defeated.

BLAME THE IINEFFECTIVEPURNISHMWNT METED OUT ON TREASURY LOOTERS IN NIGERIA ON THE JUDICIARY.

I am not one of those who believe that our judicial system, let even say that our judges are to blame for the inadequate punishment that the judges hand down to treasury looters while in some other country such an offense would have earned the offenders a more severe punishment including death sentences. sorry! do i hear you excaimed 'death sentences' offcause, death sentences because whosoever is put in charge of Tax payer's money and deep his or her hands in the till and those who share out of the stolen fund with them are all muderers for they should know that they have simply murdered billions of unborn children and are rendering the rest of the society poverty striken whych is why 90% of Nigeria population are poverty stiken because the mony that should have been used to generate Electricity which is the first and one of the major need for economic groth are in the bank account of some greedy and stupid individuals who think they are smart becaus our law is greatly defficint to be a deterrent on the thievs. That is why i will not blame the judges for they are only an interpreter of our laws, they work within the confine of our law.
so also will i not blame the lawyers who exploit the loopholes in our laws to either to wastw the time of the court or to save even the guilty and non guilty from the clutch of the consequences of the laws they supposedly violated, for i recognise that the lawyer is only doing his or her work.
it is left to the Legislators to make laws that people will think twice before they violate it.
